Systems Change Advocacy
At a systemic level, we understand the fight for reproductive justice must take into consideration abolition, global solidarity, and anti-Blackness. At HEART, we view our role as caretakers for Muslims on the margins. We do this work knowing that the state will not take care of us; we must take care of each other. We advocate for divesting funds from war, militarism, genocide and policing and investing resources back into communities of care.
Global Solidarity
HEART led a contingent of reproductive justice organizations at a march for Palestine on June 7th in DC. We made it clear that there is No Reproductive Justice without Palestinian Liberation.
HEART released a Call to Action (CTA) for the Reproductive Justice movement on issues of global solidarity, Palestine, and reproductive justice. This call brought together 50 signatories to reaffirm there is #NoReproductiveJusticeWithoutPalestine. The coalition continues to build with each other and implement the outlined actions in the Call to Action.
